No. Back pain has several possible causes. We begin with a conversation and examination; shockwave is not an automatic treatment for back or lower back pain.
What if pain radiates or sensation changes?
Radiating pain and altered sensation need a separate assessment. Seek medical attention for sudden or severe symptoms rather than waiting for a routine clinic appointment.
When should I see a doctor for back pain?
See a doctor for sudden severe pain, radiation into the legs, altered sensation, problems with urination or bowel movements, fever or unexplained weight loss. We also advise on further assessment if relevant.
Does shockwave help muscle tension in the back?
