Knee pain & jumper’s knee
Stairs, running and jumping place different loads on the knee. We assess your symptoms and discuss your goals and daily activity.
Hoftesmerter
We begin with a conversation and assessment of your hip symptoms. Not all hip pain is suitable for shockwave treatment.
Precision in the method.
Care in every encounter.
We begin with your history and an examination. If focused shockwave is appropriate, we make a plan together.

How we can help you
- Assessment of knee and hip symptoms during walking, stairs, running or jumping.
- Assessment of possible tendon symptoms, including around the kneecap, and suitable treatment options.
- Guidance on activity and follow-up. Shockwave is not appropriate for every kind of knee or hip pain.
What does treatment feel like?
Treatment can be uncomfortable. We adjust the intensity as we go. Soreness, redness, swelling or bruising may occur afterwards. We discuss relevant risks and alternatives before treatment.
Tell us about medicines, pregnancy and medical conditions so we can assess whether the method is suitable for you.

Answers to questions about your symptoms and treatment journey.
Talk to usCan shockwave be used for jumper’s knee?
Shockwave may be suitable for selected tendon conditions around the knee. We assess symptoms during stairs, running and jumping and whether the method is appropriate. It is not suitable for all knee pain.
Do you also assess hip pain?
We assess your symptoms and function and discuss what you want to do in everyday life. If your symptoms require a different examination, we advise you on the next step.
What is jumper’s knee?
Jumper’s knee is a tendon problem just below the kneecap, often arising from jumping and running. For selected tendon problems around the knee, focused shockwave may be suitable after an individual assessment.
Can shockwave help knee osteoarthritis?
Osteoarthritis is a different condition from tendon problems, and shockwave is not a standard treatment for osteoarthritis. We assess your symptoms and advise on relevant options or further assessment.
Do you assess runner’s knee?
Yes. We assess activity-related knee symptoms, discuss your training and set a plan for gradual loading.
